From Wales Badger Warrior Chris Tasker Badger 203, found last week after having been shot as part of the cull in somerset, was taken to a safe place but sadly had expired by the time he arrived . he was probably the head honcho of his sett - certainly from his physical condition , weight and size, he would have been at or near the top of the clan structure. Which explains why this sett has imploded since, with multiple new diggings at a good distance from the sett from which badger 203 had come. The shooters of badger 203, (4x4 reg and description, names and details logged) knew when they had shot the animal that they had broken most if not all of the massacre guidelines ; that the killing even by their own disgraceful standards of humane-ness had breached every level of humanity in the book. Shot at least twice and with strong suspicions of use of illegal ammunition, it is clear that badger 203 died a terrible death. The shooters knew this when they abandoned the field in which they had massacred this animal, having been disturbed in their feckin diabolical act by two lady sett-sitters who had heard the shots not 20 metres from them. The shooters had obviously been ordered back to the site by the massacre organisers Sellick and Co. who must have realised even in their blood soaked lives what a sorry tale this badger represented. On arrival, seeing my car, they attacked immediately while attempting to get to my vehicle to search it for the badger. In fact, I had nothing to do with the original event, having only arrived for the dawn shift at 3.30am ! The hard, awful, gory work retrieving the badger was done by three selfless and brave ladies of the anti-cull protest movement. I just happened to be the sad sack all alone mopping up the dawn chorus in case some incredibly persistent shooters fancied a second bite of the cherry. It has been noted that the NFU , Defra and others have not in this instance asked for the badger back as they have done previously in other cases - instead they appear to have pulled the blinds down and pretended that the nasty monster did not after all exist - that badger 203 did not exist other than in the oppositions imagination. We would have expected bluster, threat and worse from the massacre organisers but instead have heard not a peep. never mind, the film taken at the time captures the two hapless killers of badger 203 promising boldly that if I returned their badger, they would go away and stop any further assault... give us our badger back and well be happy is about the only quote I can translate from the Anglo-Saxon. Well, tough, you feckers you. having dragged me unwillingly and with prejudice into this sorry affair, you aint getting off so easy. badger 203 and all the other innocent badgers you have feckin shot to death for £10 a pop, demand that I take you right through the courts.
