From ... Witness Protection Im a Russian living in Russia. Things are much worse than all these experts want us to think. Putin killed business in this country, he is now killing social infrustructure (massive cuts in healthcare and education), we dont produce anything in this country anymore and even if we wanted to - there is no money in the system (its impossible to land money - interest rates were crazy before today - when the Central banks raised the key bank rate by 6.5% to 17%. Even before today - we could only land money with 25-30% interest rate! It will now be more like 35-40% - who can afford a bank loan like that. The answer is noone) Putin is not a leader, and he is far from even a mediocre manager - he is a failed spy and a thug. Were heading to a default and collapse of the entire system. It will be tough and scary but Im happy its happening - this is the only way for this country to wake up from this delusional dream. So in case anyone in the West is wondering if Obamas sanctions against Putin worked, the answer is yes. And Im thankful for that. It is much more effective than any military action and by far a much smarter option.
