From a childs eyes on childhood cancer: Day Four Today I am - TopicsExpress

From a childs eyes on childhood cancer: Day Four Today I am posting a video of someone who represents the children who are often left in the shadows of the childhood cancer fighters - the siblings. Meet Ebin, Wes 3 year old little brother. Wes also has another brother, Eli, who is 17 months old. Eli is still young and doesnt understand, but knows that we go away sometimes, but Ebin, who has been going through this since he was 4 months old when Wes was diagnosed, is starting to be affected by it all. When Wes was diagnosed, Ebin has been passed around from one family member to another sometimes for weeks at a time so we could be there with Wes while he underwent treatment and surgeries. Myong and I missed many milestones and his first Christmas due to being admitted for fevers. Wes baby book is filled out while Ebins is empty. Today, at 3 years old, he silently cries as his brother boards the plane and leaves him again, refusing to say goodbye because he doesnt want us to go. When we are home, anytime we put our shoes on he asks if we are going to the hospital. I have been asked numerous times by my 3 year old if he hurt him and that is why Wes needed surgery. For months Ebin has suffered from night terrors which can be a result of stress. Cancer affects the whole family. PLEASE SHARE AND BE AWARE!!
