From a conversation with a mighty companion: Absolutely. I dont think anyone can avoid this, unless they want a muted, and best solid life. But that solid is never good Enough because there is a lie underneath it, and the lie is simple: you never really were satisfied being human. Being means you have to settle for a specific individuality and then compare yourself to others. That is painful no matter what because comparison is painful. Its a stealth attack on your soul by your ego, who is dead set on convincing you that this person identity is who you are and good enough for you. But, its all good. We all karmically have I face it eventually. Did we ever really enjoy have an identity that in of itself is so painful. Being located in a specific time and place and having such a unique identity. That is the elephant in the room that never gets looked at by most people. But it should be. Why not look at every Belief about ourselves and ask if it really serves our desire to be free. Freedom Is not in choice but choicelessness. Not in choosing and weighing which form in the world you want and the comparing and comparing forever. But formlessness. That is what we are dying and calling for . The formless, the timeless, the abstract. Specifics are at the heart of our pain!
