From a distance... Many could be puzzled as to why Im so moved by your passing when they doubt you even re-called my name or who I am. Maybe I dont even possess the right to say anything about you.. I wasnt an earthly relative nor a close dear friend. I was just that girl whos known for admiring people from a distance I could say. So many could butcher me after this because we didnt know each other.. But I felt I had to pay my tribute at least through writing, the almost only way I know how to express myself. Your passing really moved us. And its heartbreaking that we cant even be present at your memorial nor your last farewell. But we wanted you to know that, thats no boundary.. Your memory will live forever in our hearts and poke us to find our purpose and strive for excellence, always.. A life worth celebrating! You were a definition of greatness and will forever be. Such a beautiful soul. You were a force to be reckoned with. You made multitudes want to follow all that you pursued without you even saying a word.. Just how you carried yourself, how you lived.. Your stature.. spoke enough volumes one could never ignore even if they tried to. I always wanted to talk to you.. Even if it were just a number of words, I would count even if I had to. I just never brought myself to it.. So I count all those who were blessed with the privilege very favoured. I had known Doctors in Economics... From a distance that is. But you were the closest distance of them all. A breath taking, young black woman. I had to distinct the gender, race and age because we dont get a lot of such cases in the mighty school of Economics. When you spoke about Christ, one would want to know more about the man. When you grabbed the microphone and Praised God.. One would wish for the same encounter. A woman after Gods own heart.. You never told me that, nor did you fly flags about it around. We just could tell... from a distance. Your wardrobe! It spelled Class!! When you walked in.. Your presence overtook the place. One wouldint get their eyes off of you. I can testify that a bunch of us studied you from a distance and we really admired you. Such a lovely and lively person. Everything within the borders of your life was an inspiration. May the Holy Ghost comfort your family, friends, mentors and everyone else affected. May your soul rest in peace Swati Princess. The confidence we have in Christ is that we shall surely see you again. xxxx
