From a facebook friend, Jared Adolf Sandifer You know, Ive been seeing STORY after STORY in the rw derp chambers about how Obama has no respect for our officers! Sends Biden to NYC officers funerals while he golfs in Hawaii (and blah blah Al Sharpton and Eric Holder are the Devil)! While I find politicizing the deaths of these two (or ANY) innocent people DESPICABLE, I cant help but think about the fact that the Right SURE does seem to love riding the corpses of ACTUAL patriots and public servants (Benghazi comes to mind) to further their narrative, no matter how ill-timed, ill-informed, or inappropriate. Sometimes I wonder how its even possible for people to be so blinded by hatred, and so desperate to satiate their political agenda, that basic human decency goes by the wayside. This is yet another tragedy that should bother everyone who is decent and good, and politics should take a backseat to the sadness thats inherent in all of us when senselessness like this happens. Things that are good and just dont (or at least shouldnt) have a political party, and over the past few days all Ive seen from literally MILLIONS of people is an opportunity to take away from the sacrifice those two officers made, so that a few TINY political points (against a President who wont be running again) could be scored, to what end I dont know. I honestly dont, but since they brought up attendance, do you know what I DO know, friends? Biden was at the service. I saw his respectful speech about the officers, and it was eloquent in a Joe Biden kind of way. Do you know what I DIDNT see (since the Right keeps bringing it up). Boehner or McConnell.
