From a movie Im sure we all found just a wee bit disturbing in 1973, A song from the movie Deliverance called Dueling Banjos by Eric Weissberg and Steve Mandel became one of the few 1970s instrumentals to be awarded a Gold record.. cmon we loved this movie squeal like a pig..... ---- In 1988, American female impersonator and actor Divine (Harris Glenn Milstead), died in his sleep of heart failure aged 42...we all remember him/her from Hairspray (1988) and widely associated with filmmaker John Waters, he was a character actor ---- IN 1945, Born on this day, Arthur Lee... if I have to tell you who his is then,YOU SUCK!!! --- DIED ON THIS DAY~(allegedly) Aristotle, Greek philosopher and Mr. Stanley Kubrick died on this day :-( in 1999, we could go on about this gentleman and his body of work but it is extensive and brilliant....what a loss, he is regarded as one of the greatest filmmakers of all time..I dont have that kinda time to list all his films, but you know that I know, that we know, HE WAS AWE~SOME!! WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE KUBRICK FILM? hmmmmm?
