From a parent: My daughter has a pegj but has always struggled with feeds being tolerated, we have been in hospital 9weeks now on TPN which she is tolerating well. She has had the jejunal extension repositioned 4 times as it always moves back into her stomach, has anyone else had this problem when it just wont stay in position? My other question is to anyone with experience with TPN, did you find that you needed more calories with TPN than through the pegj tube? They are wanting to try with the pegj again but if she still cant tolerate it she will be under the care of the intestinal failure team for long term TPN. Anyone who has had it long term, we would appreciate any advice you have. She has already had a very serious infection in her central line xxx
