From a pm... I attended NLC, and after graduating waited a few months before going to work. I have been working for a contractor that moves you up the chain relatively fast, and I have been working here for close to a year now/. I am an extremely fast learner and am probably the safest worker at the company when it comes to being aware as to whats is happening around me on the job site. I know this is going to get me a lot of hate BUT, I have been working hot for the last few months, and I know for a fact i use more cover than ANYONE at my company, and am 100% without a doubt the best hot work lineman they have, the line supervisor has said that to me, as well as most of the other Linemen. Now for the question: I have an interview with Pacific Gas and Electric and I have never interviewed with them before and I was wondering what to expect, question wise, from them. I DO NOT plan on telling them I have touched energized line, and I dont know if I should even tell them I have operated a bucket truck because they are a company that starts you at the very bottom and makes you work your way up.. even no climbing for the first year based on what I have read! And should I wear the shirt for my non-union contractor to the interview? I feel like it is a bad idea and planned on wearing a nice button up, but others have told me to wear my work FR. And does anyone have some advice on what/what not to say during my interview? This would be a dream come true to land this job as I have family In california that i have not seen in almost 6 years and I would love to live close to them for the rest of my life.
