From exploreseiowa: The Pekin girls track team won the Davis County meet last night after scoring 208. Leading the way with wins were Kaysha Dodson the high jump, Mallory Reed the 100 meter hurdles, Kaylie Linder the 200, Gwynne Wright the 800, Shea Dahlstrom the 1500, Taylor Lock the 3000, the 4 by 100 of Reed, Jessica Horras, Nikole Arendt and Linder, the 4 by 200 featuring Arendt, Sloan Reighard, J. Horras and Beth Atwood plus the sprint medley made up by Arendt, J. Horras, Regihard and G. Wright. Their 2nds came from Bonnie Becker the 1500, Shelbie Williams the shot put, Samantha Wright the 400 meter hurdles, Linder the 100, Reed the 200, Lock the 800, the 4 by 400 of Taylor Reynolds, S. Wright, Taylor Winn and Whitney Horras, the distance medley that featured Dodson, Reighard, Atwood and Dahlstrom and the 4 by 800 including G. Wright, Reynolds, S. Wright and W. Horras. Host Davis County finished 2nd racking up 181 points. Pekin was 3rd in the Class AA boys division at the track meet hosted by Davis County last night. They had wins from Eric Adam the shot put and the 4 by 200 featuring Chase Copeland, Tyler Copeland, Brody Long and Christian Wittrock. Panther 2nds included Zach Conger the 400 meter low hurdles and long jump, Jared Bond the discus, Trevor Northup the shot put, Zac Buller the 400 plus the medley made up by C. Copeland, Long, Wittrock and Cade Millikin.
