From her nominator, chapter advisor Crystal Stewart: “Sidney Thompson has held the position as Vice President of Membership in Alpha Kappa Psi for the Spring semester. Sidney pledged the fraternity in the Spring of 2013, but studied abroad during the Fall. She, however, came back ready to work and has done an outstanding job in her first full semester as a member. She even took on the responsibility of an officer position. Her dedication and commitment to the chapter has paid off in reaching the AKPsi national minimum standard for members for our chapter. In my three years as the advisor for this chapter, this is the first time this standard has been met. Sidney successfully managed recruitment events and educating the incoming members and their pledging process. Sidney demonstrates potential as a future business leader and is well deserving of the Outstanding New Member Award. Congratulations, Sidney!”
