From ky weather center: Good Wednesday, everyone. Another frigid day is ongoing across the bluegrass state, but much milder days are just around the corner. This mild pattern will be ahead of a strong storm system that will deliver another arctic blast by early next week. Moral of the story… keep the Dramamine handy.Highs today will reach the upper 30s and low 40s under mostly sunny skies. Thursday will start very cold and end milder with upper 40s and low 50s throughout the state.50s will move in for Friday and Saturday as a shot of showers races through here. This will set the stage for even milder temps in the 60s by Sunday and Monday. That will be ahead of a big storm system across the plains. This bad boy will make a run at the Great Lakes by Monday night and will drag another arctic front through here. Check out the dramatic change in temps…The air coming in by Tuesday and Wednesday may be as cold or colder than what we have now. It may also produce some snow during this time.I’ve been mentioning the blocking starting to really show up as we roll through the rest of the month. This may lead to cold and snow chances for Thanksgiving week. Check out the big dip in the jet stream from the GFS Ensembles for turkey week…That could be fun! Have a great day and take care.
