From mid December 2013, Sydney Water started work to naturalise - TopicsExpress

From mid December 2013, Sydney Water started work to naturalise the Cooks River banks from Karool Avenue to High Street, Canterbury. This is following on from their work to build Cup and Saucer Wetlands (see photo) in 2010. Naturalisation involves removing the old concrete bank lining the river (see before and after pics) and creating a more natural environment with native plants and sandstone.
