From mum and dad....who are very heartbroken today Ray and I have some very difficult news. Sadly, despite all efforts I was not able to tolerate Elena’s coat and have now been on a nebuliser for 3 days. I have only met one other dog that has ‘finished me off’ due to their coat and sadly she had the same. We washed her in different shampoos until she squeaked. To say we are heartbroken is beyond belief. Elena is a lovely, bright girl who in her time with us learnt to ‘go’ outside and wear a harness and lead. I could only really be with her outside in the garden and, even then, stroking and cuddling her caused an escalation in my condition. This morning she was taken to a close friend for care and is really happy trotting on her lead of which we are very proud. Brin was brilliant with her and did us all proud also. Today, as you can imagine has been very painful for us all. I want to thank everyone who helped to us to get her home. Your support and love will never be forgotten and, together, we have helped another beautiful young soul out of Afghanistan. That certainly helps us, personally, get through this difficult time. We will find her the best home ever. With love, and many tears Sally & Ray xxxx
