From my friend Tommy Gomes at Catalina Offshore Products. There is no such thing as CHEAP seafood, you will pay with your health in many ways. Buy local and buy from a trusted source. If you are eating, buying or selling seafood that has been glazed and frozen sold in these big super markets or outlets, you are at risk. See, that stuff not only has a huge carbon footprint, but its not really good for your kids. I walk around this city, downtown , up town beaches and valley reading menus and seeing whats being sold. I can tell you that as a fish monger it is very sad to see all the fish being served in our city, that was once the largest fishing fleet in the world. I see total crap being served, defrosted seafood being called fresh and it’s a joke a total joke. Bad seafood just sucks and gives good seafood markets a bad name. I don’t know how many times I have heard about people getting a bad piece of fish at this place or that. You are what you eat, DON’T BE FAST, DON’T BE FAKE, DON’T BE CHEAP AND DON’T BE EASY with your food, no matter what it is. Teach your kids about good food, teach your kids how to eat right most all all teach your kids to ask questions about seafood, about beef and defrosted meats. Start reading about our food source, things are changing. We have lost touch with our food, I urge you to get in touch with it once again..
