From my grandfather I get the urge to roam. I like to find roads Ive never been down before. Sometimes I find roads that Im pretty sure that few others have been down except for the handful of people who live there. Today I made a side trip on the way back from Charleston as a way to cope. Its maybe not the way normal people do things but its me. I often stumble on cool things I might otherwise miss. Today I found a miniature whirlpool caused by an outgoing tide sucking water down under the roadway. Its one of those things thats just happenstance and a small deal but I feel like a kid that discovered something no one else knows about. A few minutes of quiet with the sound of water. A small but needed distraction.
