From my journal almost exactly one year ago....its so funny how things you yourself wrote can speak to you in a totally new way later on down the road. God is good!! Wait. Its a word that Im hardly an expert with. Patience and waiting are both things or concepts I have personally wrestled with. I then realized what this time Ive been given today was meant for: It was meant to bask in the wait. To devote it to God and the journey which He is in this very moment in time preparing, shaping, and molding my heart for. And I can honestly physically feel it. This time of rest and relaxation has been given to me through grace to make me realize that my God is preparing me for the work he has planned for me to do. Not only that, but hes preparing the hearts of those across the world who I will soon be calling family. Now THAT gives me chills. Im called to give God glory in all things; whether Im enjoying the comforts of this life here or feeding the hungry in the slums of Uganda--whether my life is going perfectly smooth or Im face with a devastating life storm; whether Im in the midst of a life changing experience or patiently waiting for it to approach. I know God is only giving me this time to prepare because he has a huge plan for me--one which will change my life forever. Whether this work is going to be the most difficult, heart wrenching, horrible, and lonely experience or the exact opposite, I know hes preparing me right now. And I know that its GOOD, and hes using it all for his glory. Im all to familiar with this waiting period Im in...but I know its being worked for GOOD. And I cant wait to see what is next in Denver come December 1st! Thanks to every single one of you who have been with me on this journey to and from Uganda twice and the work with True Impact Ministries. Im incredibly humbled and blessed!!!
