From my private collection: And now for something completely different! I am going to stray far from the PNW for todays Blue Week post. This one is from a country that you dont hear much about as far as rockhounding goes. Probably because it is covered with snow and ice so much of the year. The locals call this stuff Blue Moonstone. It is a variety of Lepidolite from Norway. This is a granitic feldspar mix identical to the Lepidolite found in our Appalachian Mts. except that the Appalachian version is green.
