From my shipmate, Blaine Pennypacker: To much of the country, the Army-Navy football game is just another college game filled with prima-donna players attending school to get a shot at millions of dollars to continue to be prima-donnas. The players in this game are completely different - the game itself is symbolic of strife on the field of battle - a field that each of the participants will most likely enter in a much more deadly way within months of graduating. These are men who are ready to give their lives in defense of this great country, but more importantly, are highly trained in order to cause those they will face to give their lives first. If any of you reading this watch the game next Saturday, remember to keep this in perspective. Here is a spot that captures some of the essence of what this game represents. https://youtube/watch?v=-gi7JBm6GLU
