From one of our readers I would like to remain anonymous please, I have many friends on this site and I need some advice about sponsorship & how much is too much. I have a sponsee who I accepted on July 7th 2013. I have made 4 or 5 appointments with her since asking her to write her life story and advised her to purchase her steps workbook, I also ask her to call or text me daily for 90 days so that phone wont be 1000# when and if she needs it and to begin a bond with her. She always has an excuse why she didnt show up, but has yet to let me know in advance that she wont be here. This annoys me beyond belief because I have a life too and Ive set aside an entire day at least 4 times now for her and its been fruitless. Today she was to be here at !PM and she called at 12:50 to say shes waiting for her ex to pick up her kids and she would be here. Is she here? NO! Its almost 3Pm and She hasnt called to tell me anything else so here I sit, waiting and seem to be getting the beginning of a resentment. Any advice would be welcome, do I continue this or what? What needs to be said? I already told her last time I was not happy with her being inconsiderate and I would need to see more commitment from her. Thanks for letting me vent. Recovery rocks.
