From our friends at the Des Moines Bicycle Collective: We have an exciting moment in Des Moines cycling: The first Quiet Street plan in all of Des Moines, for SW 14th Street, goes in front of City Council tomorrow. This route is part of the original Bicycle and Trail Master Plan adopted by City Council in 2011, and will connect Grays Lake and the Blank Park Zoo. We encourage those who support this project to attend the meeting and voice their support to City Council. The meeting begins at 4:30 pm at City Hall, 400 Robert D. Ray Drive, in the Council Chambers. According the meeting agenda, this will be the second-to-last item considered by the Council tomorrow.
