From our grantees at Pets Uniting People Society (PUPS): Dottie - TopicsExpress

From our grantees at Pets Uniting People Society (PUPS): Dottie Smiddy (PUPS volunteer and husband Dave board member) followed up on a call she got a couple weeks ago saying that an abandon cat had kittens by an apartment air conditioner. The area is fenced in and Dottie asked her to keep an eye on them and feed the mother for awhile but felt it was best to leave them there and not to disturb mom and babies. Lady called Dottie and said the kittens were starting to move to the opening and feared that they would wander to the parking lot or someone would see them and harm them. Dottie brought mother and babies home and will care for them until kittens are weaned and hopes to find them homes. Mother will have to be spayed and would like for her to have a home rather than return there. But Clark County doesnt have a cat problem?! It does and thanks to the DDAF, Pets Uniting People Society can neuter/spay many cats so the population will begin to decrease. Thanks DDAF for helping us here in Central Ohio. If you would like to help DDAF with our mission to help animals in need, please consider clicking the Donate button at the top of our page.
