From our mailbox: Encouragement to a Leader, Bill Walker Greetings Bill, I hope this letter provides the team some comfort knowing we are simply not going to be buffaloed…. AGAIN Our current Governor has been forced to address inexplicable behaviors of his Administration and cash in that “buck stops here” silver dollar. The Teflon coating (nothing sticks syndrome) of our Governor has become thin on issues that are dark, sensitive and impact all Alaskans as stakeholders. But thanks to Bill Walker, we Alaskans have a rational home team choice this November. I want you to know my two Boy Scouts (rank, Life Scouts) teenage sons continue to help volunteer on the “Walker for Governor” campaign trail. From the Bayshore meet & greet, parades, sign waving, and flyer handouts they have helped Julia & I help you carry the hometown message to fellow Alaskans. What a civics lesson for them both from a candidate that has Integrity, Service and Excellence and runs a campaign with the same core values. As a father and an Alaskan we desperately need men like Bill Walker not only as leaders, but mentors for our sons and daughters across this great state. Bill,….. you, Bryon and your family bring the qualities to the table and I feel confident that your administration will continue emulating working together standing strong for Alaska core beliefs. This will be a day of fresh air, lifeline and a future for our state. From a sustainable economy to a sustainable budget, you have taken the challenge to lead us out from these dark days of scandal, deficit spending on pet projects and using your words “putting Alaskans first” so future generations can not only dream of living here, but instead live the Alaska dream. The leadership and skills required for this daunting task is reserved only for a few select men and women willing to take the challenge. We Alaskans are fortunate to have a fellow Alaskan name Bill Walker willing to take the hits, blows and the challenge head on. Bill, we have heard you say “if your family was sinking in a boat how hard would you bail water?” Let me say, the bilge pumps are on and this family is bailing with 5 gal buckets. As an Alaskan family we are standing strong next to you to bail together, to make a difference, not to be buffaloed and to build a bright future for the women and men of this state! You can count on our family vote! You can count on us standing next to you. I will leave you with a message an Alaska National Guard Chaplain once presented to me. “I carry you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself - Exodus 19:4 God Bless Alaska and keep her safe Let’s roll!!!……. and Keep leading from the front!! Best Regards, David Streit & Family, Bayshore “Another Retired Guard Guy for Walker / Mallott” “Another hardworking Alaskan Family for Walker / Mallott” “Another Proud Alaska Veteran - for Walker / Mallott
