From our weekend prayer: Let us pray, Father God; Creator of heaven and earth; Unto thee, we lift up our voice. We bless you for this day; one we have never seen before. A day filled with opportunities, open doors, new creativity and many blessings. Lord, this morning we want to say thank you. Thank you for new mercies. Morning by morning new mercies I see. We did not have to even ask for mercy, we did not have to work for mercies; but mercy was waiting when we woke up. God you are that faithful and consistent. Lord, we thank for protection; over our families, homes, communities and countries. You kept us from dangers, evils and accidents. You dispatched angels to watch over us as we slept through the night. He that keepeth Israel neither slumber nor sleep. No harm could come to us. You kept our hearts beating and the blood flowing, even while we slept. And we woke up, mind intact, body ready for yet another day. Lord, we bless for taking such good of care of us. Thank you God for salvation. Thank you for dying in our stead. Thank you for loving us while we were yet sinners. Thank you for guaranteeing our acceptance in the kingdom of God; for you shed your blood that all sinners may have access to abundant life. Thank you for the gift of the Holy Ghost. Thank you for the ultimate expression of love – the giving of yourself. Thank you not leaving us empty and without purpose but you showered us with gifting and talents and have given us meaningful lives. Thank you. We our hearts, mind and body; we want to give thanks. Forgive us for taking it all for granted. For walking as if we did this on our own. For the many times we got too busy to stop and reflect on just how good you are to us. Thank you for forgiveness. Could not live without you Lord, would not even want to try. Thank you for putting up with us and for giving another chance. Yes Lord, you are awesome. And so declare this day, the Lord’s Day. We give you thanks for all you have done and all you are doing. And we walk in the communion of your love and the fellowship of your grace knowing that if it had not been for the Lord who was on our sides, then the enemy would have devoured us. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. In Jesus name, amen. CharmainG.
