From our wonderful Volunteer Melissa Plunkett of South Australia. Today was the first time I was actually up close and personal to the reason our Angel Gown garments are needed. When I arrived at the Womens and Childrens Hospital - Adelaide I was in a waiting area, after which I was greeted by the midwife who was very excited to see our gowns. We are already in this Hospital, a big thank you to Rachel Windsor-Cormack and her team, however today was a special order. When I opened up the box and showed her the gown for little Charli she was amazed at just how beautiful it was. She asked to see all the ones I brought with me, which I did, and I gave her two copies of our hospital information sheet so she could give one to the midwives in palliative care also. She told me the presentation and quality of our beautiful Angel Gown garments was second to none, then took me on a tour of the entire NICU from the intensive care bubs right to the final step of the journey before going home. Seeing this little brave souls fighting and hearing the stories broke my heart. The midwife giving the tour wanted me to pass on her heartfelt thanks that we could arrange delivery on such short notice and also restock their supplies. I was very emotionally changed, but it was a wonderful experience. We are so proud of you Melissa for today and also of the whole South Australian Team. Thank you
