From start to finish the most challenging project I have ever - TopicsExpress

From start to finish the most challenging project I have ever taken on in my life has been writing this book. The emotional rollercoaster and all of the roadblocks I ran into all are about to be worth it. When I started writing up until just completing the book I always felt UNWORTHY or not educated enough to even write a book. What I have realized is that these were feelings subconsciously coming out from when I was in the formal education system. I used to get C’s and low B’s on assignments in my English classes and when it came to writing I thought I would never be good enough for the editing process or to make sure my word flow was ok. Teachers would ridicule students for not writing perfect essays or for not having perfect grammar. In my response I now laugh..Why? I paid an editor to fix my spelling, to fix my word flow, to change things that I messed up on so no you DON’T need to be an expert on any of those things. Maybe some of you have heard of Henry Ford, he was often ridiculed for not being the smarted person in the world and owning such a large company. Well he leveraged the fact that he knew smart people and could pay them as his experts to assist in his project of creating an amazing company. Statistically only 2-4% of people in the world will ever have the title of being an author and by the way none of my English teachers were authors I will be promptly sending each one of them a copy of my book for their fire they gave me to make this happen. I encourage you, get out of your comfort zone, DO WHAT YOU WANT AND DON’T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT WHAT EVERYONE ELSE WANTS YOU TO DO OR ANY OF THEIR EXPECTATIONS OF YOU. What I promise you will get from this book is my voice, my story, inspiration, and content that will encourage you to pursue and live your dreams. Timeline- Summer 2013 Met Michelle Prince and spent an entire day with her mapping out the contents of my book after my father Ron Barton encouraged me I really could do it Fall 2013 spent physically writing the entire rough draft December 2013 Verbally recorded my whole book on a recorder January 2014 Met one of the people I had looked up to growing up filled with excitement to tell him about me writing a book—Shut me down said “you should wait until you are Royal Ambassador ($1,000,000/year) before I write a book” This really discouraged me to stop efforts until about June of 2014 where I met with my Mastermind group with Michelle Prince and received their support and encouragement June-July 2014 Fired up more than ever I got the book transcribed, self edited, than professionally edited, hired a graphic designer to create my cover/design for my website, hired a web designer to finish the website, hired someone to format the book, set in line promotions and plans for the Hard copy edition, Kindle edition, and audio. July 31, I present the hardest, most rewarding, frustrating, exciting, overwhelming project I have ever created in my life. I hope that you buy a book, and not just read it but take at least ONE thing from it that motivates you or changes something in your life for the better. My new life mission is to provide value to as many people as I possibly can. #DreamsToRealities Details on launches- July 31-August 31 Presales go for the hard copy of the book—Begin shipping in September US only.
