From the 911Memorial Pier in Brooklyn last week. Talked to a nice young New Yorker as the grandest girls were running around the base of the monument with his kids. He was supposed to report to work in the Twin Towers that day at noon. Another vivid memory of mine is flying by New York on the way to Germany the following Saturday and seeing the smoke still smoldering from the site. The pilot asked for a moment of silence and tipped the wings. There was not a dry eye on the plane. May God bless the memory of those American heroes who lost lives that day and the families and friends they left behind. And may those idiots responsible get an extra dose of propane as they burn in hell. Peace
