From the Baldwin County Emergency Management Agency: Weekend Severe Weather Threat Greatest severe weather threat early Sunday morning through midday Coastal areas – prior to daybreak Sunday Inland areas – Mainly after 6am Sunday Primary threats: Isolated tornadoes & damaging winds Storms will move rapidly to the east northeast Locally heavy rainfall may result in localized flash flooding in urban areas. Dry antecedent conditions will likely preclude more widespread flash flooding or river flooding. It will be windy through much of Sunday, even outside storms and after storms move through. Sustained 20-30 mph w/ gusts to 40 mph. Caveats: Warm front may not move as far inland as forecast. Possible if a large area of thunderstorms develops over the Gulf waters Saturday afternoon/evening would result in a reduced risk of severe weather inland with possibly lower rain totals.
