From the CCPD Lieutenant Gil Padilla was assigned to CIU 4 on 10/13/2013, taking over as the criminal investigation Commander. He will be taking up the reigns to run Pct 4 PENS. You will have an opportunity to meet him at our upcoming PENS meetings next month. He has additional responsibility serving as the commander for the Hostage Negotiations team for the Cobb County Police Department. Lt. Padilla is coming to us from CIU 1, north Cobb County just to the west of Pct 4. Therefore you have received an experienced Criminal Investigations Commander. Prior to that he served as an Assistant Unit Commander on the MCS Organized Crime Task Force, Narcotics Division. Lt. Padilla served in the Special Victims Unit, Crimes Against Children Unit for approximately eight years, four years as a detective and four years as a detective Sergeant investigating all felonies committed against children in Cobb County.
