From the Colorado State Patrol: Isnt it scary how many people still get arrested for Impaired Driving on Halloween??? STATEWIDE—The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) partnered with the Colorado State Patrol (CSP) and law enforcement agencies across the state to crackdown on impaired driving over the Halloween Weekend. From 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30 through 3:00 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, 386 DUI arrests were made. That struck me as an awful lot of arrests so I did some calculations. Thats a 105 hour time period for the Heat Is On Campaign. So throughout the State Of Colorado, there were approximately 3.7 arrests PER HOUR for impaired drivers!!! Unbelievable.. almost one arrest every 15 minutes for 105 hours! Please, this is easily preventable! Dont Drink And Drive
