From the Desk of Brother to the Light”, Greetings Family and friends, In the name of our precious Savior, in the fullness of his grace, love to you all. I want to share a few words of truth. The past months have been very challenging for me, in all honestly, many things were uncertain. I am so glad that the Holy Spirit sealed me at redemption, and holds me fast as an anchor. Ironically, during times of trials, we can of our own accord cut ourselves off from the body of saints and family, who are there to support, pray, lend a helping hand, counsel and navigate us through troubled waters or times in our lives. I stand guilty of that, and if you have been there, just say amen. To the Body of believers, if you never gave it a thought, never wondered where that brother or sister was, made no calls, offered up no prayer, you can just say amen. Recently I suffered a tremendous lose in my immediate family which shook my faith and foundation. Not to mention a series of life events that kept hammering me, as to beat me into submission, life does not stop just because you are going through. I know a lot of people out there are going through right now, I hope this will help you, Life deals blows in your finances, your health, your relationships, your careers, your dreams and it will if you are not faith-full, deal a tremendous blow to your faith. I understand today, when the issues of life began to crop up, in which we want to label bad things and say that God had something to do with it. That is false. Which leads me to Grace, which is unearned or unmerited favor, I did nothing to get it, My church attendance, did not earn it, my tithes did not buy it, my gifts did not persuade it, it was the Love of God through Christ for me. Where am I going with this, I am glad you asked because I want to talk about Mercy. The twin to Grace, Mercy is kind and forgiving treatment toward someone who could have been treated harshly, Kindness or help given to people who are in a bad or desperate situation. I am so glad that God issues out new mercies every day, because of my actions and my conduct he should have dealt with me harshly but he did not. Come on let’s be honest, put down our holy act, if we were dealt with based on our deeds, our thoughts, the things we said, the judgments we made on other people. I wonder what would be our reward, so I say Lord have mercy on my soul, really, really if it had not been for the Lord on my side, yeah, now that has new meaning. I truly understand now why the saints in the bible made countless request for God to be merciful. No matter what you believe, the beginning of it all is being honest about who you are. I have to close here, but I want you to pray for me, and the ministry God placed in me. These are trying times, for us all. God bless you and Selah.
