From the Durham County League of Women Voters and the Durham InterNeighborhood Council FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE lwvodc.org August 24, 2013 lwvodc.org The Durham County League of Women Voters and the Durham InterNeighborhood Council will co-sponsor a Forum for Durham Mayor and City Council candidates who are participating in the October primary election. The Forum will be held from 7:00 pm to 8:45 pm on Tuesday, September 10, 2013, in the Auditorium of the Durham County Library at 300 N. Roxboro Street in downtown Durham. The Forum is open to the public and free of charge with ample parking. The Forum will provide an opportunity for the candidates to present their views on issues facing Durham. Durham citizens are encouraged to attend, submit their questions, and participate in this important election. The League of Women Voters will help register new Durham voters immediately before and after the Forum. The League of Women Voters and the InterNeighborhood Council are non-partisan organizations that do not endorse, oppose, or support candidates or political parties.
