From the Good Life Community Bike Shop: Hello Calgary. As many of you know, the Good Life Community Bike Shop has to move out of the Anthill building in Kensington where we have been open since Spring 0f 2012. We have much gratitude for the Calgary Parking Authority, Kensington Business Revitalization Zone, the Hillhurst Sunnyside area, The City of Calgary, and Calgarians in general for our time in the Anthill building. We have immensely enjoyed our time there. It certainly has been an incredible ride. Good Life Bikes is working hard to negotiate and finalize a lease agreement for a new location. We cannot provide the details regarding the new location or the identity of the landlord until the lease is finalized and signed. Making such an announcement prematurely might set back or even jeopardize the negotiations. A full statement on the new location will be released once the lease has been signed. The last day that the Good Life Community Bike Shop will be open at the Anthill building will be Sunday August 25 and then cleared out by August 31. Leading up to these dates, the staff and volunteers will be working hard to sort and move bikes, frames and parts into various storage areas. During this transition period, Good Life Bikes will be seeking help in the form of volunteer labor, use of vehicles for transportation, or storage space. Also, as always, Good Life Bikes will be accepting donations of used bikes and parts, and volunteers to fix them. For those interested in helping plan out the move logistics, a meeting will be held on the evening of Sunday August 11th at the Good Life Community Bike Shop 6:30 - 8:30 PM. Please send any questions or offers for assistance to [email protected] or call Steve at 403-612-2677. Keep checking the website or Facebook pages for updates. Please share this post on your blog, twitter account, status update, and other Facebook groups.
