From the I *probably* should have kept my mouth shut files: + When at the office supply store, an older child (probably 12ish) had a major screaming/falling over/no momma I dont want to melt down. + I was in line with the family. I looked at Seija and told her, well, she just didnt want to go home. Seija nodded and kept looking at all the things I wasnt going to buy her. + The woman in front of me said in that Judgmental Tone (you know the one...the *tsk tsk* tone one uses when one sees something uncomfortable) She was big enough to know better. + You know, I said (and the mental voices were telling me to shut up), there could have been some other issue, some other problem. I work with kids like that, and its not about knowing better. I may or may not have raised my eyebrow. + I probably did. :( + She was so offended I dare say something to her, so she just looked at her daughter (same age as the girl who had the meltdown) and shook her head. Then she looked at the wall and shook her head. She shook her head a few times. + At the register, she told the clerk that some people are just so rude. + Me? Id rather be rude than....that. + Oh, and the fact she thought what I said (OK, and the eyebrow) was rude amuses me. Honey, if you think THATS rude, let me show you its big sister. So, yeah. I embarrassed everyone and didnt even make a difference. Lame.
