From the Lower Nehalem Community Trust: Join Lower Nehalem Community Trusts Stewardship Coordinator Maxwell Broderick on his favorite boyhood hike: the coastal Tillamook Head Trail from Seaside to Cannon Beach. WHEN: Sunday, 17 August, 1:00 p.m., at Seaside trailhead WHAT TO BRING: trail snack & water INFO: This is a six mile hike (about 3 hours long) on moderate terrain. We will hike rain or shine, but NOAA says it will be partly sunny with a high of 63 degrees. There will be cars staged at the trails terminus in Cannon Beach to car pool you back to the Seaside Trailhead. MANZANITA CARPOOL LEAVES AT NOON: We will meet at 532 Laneda Avenue at noon on Sunday to car pool together to the Seaside trailhead. Please park behind 532 Laneda Avnue in the municipal parking lot. DIRECTIONS TO SEASIDE TRAILHEAD: drive north from Manzanita on Highway 101; in Seaside, turn left on Avenue U, then left on Edgewood (which soon becomes Sunset Boulevard); drive to end where you will find parking on the left.
