From the Mountain View Community Council: The Mountain View Boys and Girls Club, located at 315 Price St, has generously offered to reserve space to serve as a drop off and pick-up location for new and gently used donated items which are intended for the residents of the Glynwood Manor building at 221 Meyer St. Items which will be accepted are clothing/shoes and very small household items (bedding, toys, unopened toiletries, etc.). Only new and clean gently used items will be accepted between 9 am -2 pm, Monday - Friday. Residents of the building who were displaced by the fire and their families are invited to pick up any items which are available, on Saturdays between 3 pm - 5 pm. Also, residents may view and pick up items by appointment any day Monday - Friday. Please contact Dave Barney, club manager, at 907-297-5400. Items will be collected and made available until Saturday, October 12th. After this date, items will be donated to Salvation Army Alaska.
