From the National Weather Service, 3:25 p.m.: A cold front is invading North Texas. Isolated thunderstorms have begun to develop in advance of the boundary and additional activity may occur throughout the afternoon commute. Initially, the storms will impact areas from Possum Kingdom and surrounding counties to Bowie and Gainesville. The stronger cells will be capable of producing down-burst winds in excess of 40 mph. Those engaged in outdoor activities should keep abreast of the weather. Move indoors immediately if lightning is seen or thunder is heard. Elsewhere, hot and humid conditions will prevail, even behind the front. Temperatures generally in the 90s will persist well into the evening hours.
