From the Ohio National Guard - Greetings, Veterans Day is a time to pause in remembrance of the heroism of those who have served, those currently serving, and those who paid the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Its a day during which we honor the brave men and women of this nation -- generations of them -- who believed in and fought for a set of ideals. National Guard members, with the support of their families and employers, continue to heed the call - responding to missions at home and abroad. They dont stand on the sidelines; theyve volunteered to train, sacrifice and perform under pressure, whenever and wherever needed.
