From the Pastor: Jimmy Carter had always thought he was a pretty good Christian. Raised in a Baptist church in Plains, Georgia; later a Deacon and a Sunday School teacher. Then an evangelist came and challenged them about witnessing - talking to folks about Jesus.“How many people have you witnessed to for Christ?” he asked. Carter figured it up. As a deacon he had visited about ten families a year for 14 years-140 contacts. “Not bad,” he thought. Then in 1961 he decided to run for Governor. In six months time he talked with and contacted over 300,000 people to ask for their vote. He was convicted: 300,000 contracted for politics but only 140 visits for God! -Kid Power Camp- This past week we have been canvassing our neighborhoods, prayer walking apartment complexes, and sharing the Gospel with kids and parents alike. We’ve been seeking to win our neighborhood for Christ. It is my prayer that Southwest Fort Worth will be the farthest place in the world from which one goes to Hell. If anyone must go into a Christless eternity, let it be with the cries of Wedgies ringing in their ears and the claims of Christ burning in their hearts. “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28.
