From the Poet@Large archives; I cant even recall when I wrote this, I found it written in my hand, I havent written too many poems in my own hand post 1993 so..... Tidal wave A girl, I think she hails from Mexico originally but it could have been China; she sails a crescent Moon. She has a black cat for a companion or maybe; The cat has her? they sail a creamsicle-moon against a purple sky where the stars spill like pebbles into still-waters I’d rather go there than to die here and seep into the Earth like a shadow that has no tree to give its ghost a palpable presence anymore just a shadow blotted into the Earth.. No, I want to go to the Moon with a Cat! I want to live in zero gravity until I am reduced to a bag of juice!
