From the StormTracker 26 Weather Lab...The remnants of the same frontal boundary that brought us rain earlier this week will drift northward this weekend bringing a return of showers and thunderstorms to our area. The storm system is much weaker than it was earlier this week, so the main effect we will see in the Central Savannah River Area is increasing humidity and scattered thunderstorms each afternoon and evening. Looking ahead to next week, the weather pattern we affectionately refer to as the Bermuda High will take control of our weather giving us a seasonably hot and humid week with highs in the lower 90s, lows near 70 and a few scattered thunderstorms each afternoon and evening. Friday Night - Increasing clouds and mild. Low 66. Wind NE 1-5 mph. Saturday - Mostly cloudy and warm with a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. High 86. Wind E/NE 5-10 mph. Saturday Night - Mostly cloudy with a 30% chance of rain and thunderstorms. Low 67. Wind SE 2-5 mph. Sunday - Mostly cloudy and warm with a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms. High 88. Wind SE 4-9 mph.
