From the Traffic Bureau Colonial Road Closures - UPDATED Commencing on Friday, November 22nd, Colonial Road will be closed between Franklin Avenue and Route 208 from 7:30 am to approximately 4:00 pm each day (Monday through Friday) for the installation of a sewer line. Plan alternate routes and follow the detour as needed. That section of the roadway will be closed to ALL traffic during the specified time above. The posted traffic plan will detour traffic traveling North on Colonial Rd to make a Right turn onto High Mountain Road, right turn onto Route 208 South, take Exit for Summit Avenue, bear left go back over Route 208 and make a left onto Franklin Avenue. Traffic traveling South on Colonial Road will take Franklin Avenue, make a right onto Summit Avenue, bear Right onto Route 208 North, to Colonial Road Exit. The detour route will be clearly marked.
