From the article>>> “In hindsight — CDC director Dr. Tom Frieden said on Tuesday — the nation’s health protection agency should have stepped in and taken control when the country’s first Ebola case emerged in Dallas.” “We could have sent a more robust hospital infection control team and been more hands on with the hospital from Day One about how this should be managed.” As an RN I find this appalling – nurses are on the front lines of patient care – much more so than even the doctors. Nurses care for the patient 24/7 while the Drs have limited contact. For CDC director Dr. Tom Frieden to ASS-U-ME these healthcare workers would know the protocols AND have the proper equipment available for taking care of a patient with a highly infectious disease while protecting themselves borders on out and out stupidity and malpractice. He should be fired and a more competent person put in his place – one who puts THIS COUNTRY’s healthcare workers safety first and foremost over those of other countries. And now a 2nd nurse has been diagnosed with ebola. news.yahoo/feds-should-have-been-more-hands-on-with-dallas-ebola-case--cdc-director-says-214128692.html news.yahoo/ebola-diagnosed-in-second-dallas-nurse-105542930.html
