From the article: “We want to make it clear to the Taliban that Pakistan has nothing to do with the drone attack and we want a meaningful dialogue with them for peace in the country,” Abdul Qadir Baloch said in the National Assembly while taking part in the debate on drone attacks. Ijazul Haq said the government should convene another all parties’ conference to take a consensus decision about Nato supplies. “We should take decisions keeping in view our national interests, honour and dignity,” he said. Syed Asif Hasnain of the MQM said there was need to remove the sense of deprivation among the people of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) and Balochistan. Qari Muhammad Yusuf said certain elements wanted to create a gulf between the people and the government and we should stand united to foil these designs. He said peace could be restored in the region if the US stopped interfering in the internal matters of Pakistan and Afghanistan. Ayaz Soomro said the government should hold a dialogue with the Taliban on the basis of principles and under the constitutional ambit. He said the war against terrorism was imposed on us and collective efforts were required to bring peace and stability to the country.
