From the comments section of this article: From Maggie Henry - 8 hours ago. She says: Finally! After months of stomping potholes and send sending emails PG covers the seismeic induced quakes that rocked the area a mere 50 miles above the city. I thought it would never happen or that maybe you were waiting on the 1 year anniversary to roll around so you celebrate the shake and rattle we experienced. Now that you have determined it really happened would you please get busy and cover the stories of homeowners whose real property has been damaged by the gas drilling industry. The quakes destroyed the integrity of my basement, it now leaks like a sieve when it rains. My drywsll is all cracked and no one is stepping forward to help repair what the industry caused. So now it is vastly more than just reduced property values because an industrial process has moved into an agricultural area and threatens the water and air quality, they have actually caused real physical damage and no one cares! Some idiots actually say some will have to sacrifice. Well, I have a lifetime invested in our farm and home. My husbands family has owned this property for almost 100 years and I refuse to be a sacrificial lamb for the gas industry. My grown children cant move home to raise their kids on the land they grew up on. No one in their right mind would expose babies to the toxic chemicals vented off these operations or to the danger of pipeline explosions that routinely occur like the one on Christmas eve in Chartiers. Please help us before there is no clean water left and no uncontaminated soil to grow food on. powersource.post-gazette/powersource/consumers-powersource/2015/01/05/Fracking-caused-earthquakes-in-existing-faults-new-study-says/stories/201501050144
