From the desk of Dr. Michelle Laufer: Watching our kids food choices, we are often tempted to add supplements to our childrens diets. In fact, nutrients, vitamins and minerals are very best absorbed through whole foods. Most kids eating a reasonably varied diet (remember to evaluate this based on a weeks intake rather than daily, especially in younger kids) do not need a supplement other than Vitamin D.
