From the heart of my Brother in Christ Craige Banios: It - TopicsExpress

From the heart of my Brother in Christ Craige Banios: It almost always proves to be futile to try to hold forth the truth to folks who decide to believe in theology instead of what the Bible says. The word trinity is not Biblical. Jesus is never called God the son, but approximately 50 times is called the son of God. Jesus knows who he is and asked Peter who he thought he (Christ) was. Peter said , Mat_16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. ....................................................................... Jesus answered, Mat 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. ......................................... John said, Joh 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. Joh 1:30 This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me. Joh 1:31 And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water. Joh 1:32 And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him. Joh 1:33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost. Joh 1:34 And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God. ............. God said, Mar 1:9 And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan. Mar 1:10 And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him: Mar 1:11 And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. ................................................. Luk 3:21 Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, Luk 3:22 And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased. Mat 3:13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. Mat 3:14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? Mat 3:15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. Mat 3:16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: Mat 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. ................................................................................. Paul spoke by holy spirit, 1Co 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of [ek - out of] whom are all things, and we in [eis - to, into] him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by [dia -through] whom are all things, and we by [dia - through] him. ............................................................................. Jesus is the way, we are reconciled to God THROUGH him [an answer to Jobs lament: Job 9:32 For he is not a man, as I am, that I should answer him, and we should come together in judgment. Job 9:33 Neither is there any daysman [a mediator] betwixt us, that might lay his hand upon us both. ............................................................... Jesus is our daysman/mediator, 1Ti 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; ...................... He is the Lamb of the FLOCK which God provided, the second Adam (man). And just like the first Adam he came from God. But unlike Adam he chose to obey and his sacrifice of his sinless life pays the just requirement for my life. Because hes human it truly was a temptation to him, all that he endured; and so, unlike God who cannot be tempted, he felt/feels what we do and has compassion that results in our being strengthened in him and his complete victory over the devil by the gift of the holy spirit for we are as he is in this world. And if hes God then so am I.
