From the messages in my inbox, I understand that, apparently, there are some concerns regarding Franklin Cudjoes doctoral studies? I can confirm that he is indeed one of the few awardees of the prestigious Earhart fellowship at Buckingham University. That means that the University committed to pay him during the course of his academic work in recognition of his broader contributions to society. In those circumstances it also acknowledges that he cannot work full - time on his studies as he has additional responsibilities, and that they must provide a flexible schedule for the academic side of the fellowship. That may mean that he spends more than the 7 years most people pursuing straight PhDs with no additional responsibilities in his particularly challenging and evolving research area of public economic policy usually require. I am privy to the citation accompanying the award, which underscores the universitys delight that he chose to associate Buckingham with his relentless pursuit of public sector accountability in his home country, for which reason the academic title he will receive at the end of his time with them shall reward more than his academic accomplishments.
