From the moment she awakes She feels pain. Physically and mentally. In reality all she ever wanted Was to find someone who would love her. For who she was. Not what she was Nor what she looked like. Not the prettiest of faces Nor the skinniest of waists But a heart of gold. And the most snuggest of arms If you ever need to be held. She may not have had the right words to say But I will be here for you every day Not to judge, not to say a word But to be here as a shoulder for you to cry on Arms for when you need a hug And ears to listen when you want to talk. Shes not perfect. Shes not had the perfect childhood Or the most amazing teenage years But she fought against it all Held back all of her tears. She stood up tall and said this is me She no longer feels trapped. Finally free. Rid of all the horrid things And people who caused her physical pain Finally herself. She can live again. Being with people who genuinely care People who for her are now always there. Those who are needed during the stormy weather Will always find a way And will be there for each other. These are some of the things she has learnt Over the last 2 years Enduring that time To face some of her biggest fears. Failure. Being the most biggest of all Scared of climbing to the top of the mountain Then all of a sudden just fall. Starting again from square one All the effort she took Has now become undone. There was a meaning behind this And its something so meaningful to me Because I am the girl who once was set free Free of the troubles, and free of my fears Some which i still have, To endure for many years But the message behind this is so simple for all Dont give up Even when you feel like your going to fall Because someone will catch you And will be there to help you in your stride You have someone around you Who will walk by your side Through troubles and doubts Through tears and through smiles The journey will end And you will know climbing those mountains Where all worthwhile Fears Written By Samantha Hughes 2:15am 18/01/2014 SMH2014
