From the morning portion, I’m not sure I would agree with the author that God makes us sick to get our attention, as if that is a given. I do believe that there are times when we get too busy and need to slow down and being sick is a practical way for that to happen. I do agree that when we slow down, we would do well to reflect on our lives and see if we are matching His desires and His Word. Better than that, though, is to not get so busy that you don’t have time to reflect. If and when afflicted, I agree that we should “first ask what God wants to work in your life through the affliction. Recognize it is good for you. Then, after you have heard Gods answer, pray for healing.”
